READMAGINE IS THE CHANCE FOR REINVENT, REDEFINE, REDESIGN IDEAS AND SKILLS IN THE BOOK AND READING AREAS

Readmagine is the Week of Digital Innovation in Reading, Books and Libraries, organized by the Germán Sánchez Ruipérez Foundation (FGSR) in its headquarters of Madrid: Casa del Lector. It consists of a set of conversations, workshops, conferences, meetings and other formats for the exchange of ideas around the process of transformation reading and books.

Readmagine was organised for the first time in 2006 and since that first edition always hosted conversations among publishing and digital media, urbanism, fashion, marketing, video gaming and other fields of action. With this approach FGSR seeks to promote learning across the boundaries as a mean for innovation.

Since 2013 it has been carried out uninterruptedly at the FGSR headquarters in Madrid: Casa del Lector. Not even in the harsh spring of 2020 Readmagine was interrupted, although on that occasion it was organized online with the participation of professionals from five continents through presentations or on-line working groups.

This conference brings together the most innovative segment of the world of books and reading. Each year Readmagine is organised with a special focus around some issue, trend or challenge and this theme influences most of the dialogues and presentations.

The atmosphere is completely friendly and informal, which has allowed the meeting to be consolidated as an annual event for a community of professionals who reserve two or three days in their agendas to attend.

Attendance is free, through an invitation issued by FGSR and IPDA and the registration in the event.

The sessions are held in English and are never streamed online, because Readmagine is very much a unique experience based on personal interaction. People who cannot attend have access to the recordings of the presentations and round tables on this website, but to live the real experience, talk, reach agreements, learn about new projects and share coffees it is essential to attend this meeting during the first days of June.
