Miha Kovač is professor at the Department of Library and Information Science and Book Studies at the University of Ljubljana. In his publishing career in late eighties and nineties, he worked as editorial director in the two largest Slovene publishing houses, DZS and Mladinska knjiga and as an editorial director of Slovene edition of National Geographic Magazine. He is the author of more than fifty articles and four books on reading and book publishing. His main research interest is publishing and reading statistics. In 2020, he published his first mass-market book Read to Breathe that will be also published in Spanish in early 2022 by editorial Dalya as Leer es respirar.

Christoph Bläsi (born 1960) is professor for book studies at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany (since 2009); before coming back to academia he had held senior positions in digital publishing and strategic information management of various major German publishing houses (1992-2004).

 

Christoph Bläsi´s current research areas include artificial intelligence applications in publishing, (particularly economic aspects of) educational publishing as well as cookbooks (following an approach including Digital Humanities); at the moment, he is involved in two collaborative research projects, Aldus Up, the Creative Europe-funded European Network of Bookfairs, and AuROA, a project funded by the German government on aspects of the Open Access book in the humanities and social science.

Simone Lippold is working as Head of Corporate Development and Consultant Funding Strategy for the CEO of the German Publishers and Booksellers Association. She studied business administration in Kempten and Oviedo (Spain).  She started working at Frankfurter Buchmesse GmbH in 2012. At the end of 2019 she transferred to the German Publishers and Booksellers Association. Simone contributes significantly to the establishment and expansion of the EU network of the Börsenverein Group and initiates numerous projects. She is also one of the driving forces behind the pilot project creativeSHIFT which is set to hack the biggest tech-triggered challenges facing Europe’s content sectors and to shape the future landscape of content innovation.

Anne Bergman-Tahon after studying medieval history (at Brussels University) and Copyright Law (at Brussels University an Kings College London) worked in public relations and journalism before joining the FEP where she became Director in 2004.

Luc Bourcier is the CEO of Izneo, Europe’s leading digital comic platform. He has achieved most of his career in video games. In 1988, he launched the Sega brand in France and later managed regional subsidiaries of major international video games publisher : before joining izneo, he was Vice President Publishing Southern Europe for Codemasters.
